My name is Cheeky Celie and I’m a hair product junkie. I admit it. When it comes to hair products, I just can’t help myself. I’m always on the hunt for a way to impart moisture into my thick, naturally curly locks. Enter….Dope Hair by Iasia Smith. The products I tried are the argan oil shampoo and conditioner, hydrating leave-in conditioner, Dope Shine hair oil, and Dope Edges cream. Continue on for my Dope Hair product review…

Dope Hair Product Review
Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner
I really love this stuff. Usually, my hair feels stripped of moisture after a shampoo. It was the total opposite with the Dope Hair argan oil shampoo. My hair felt so soft and the moisture felt infused in my hair, not just an oily mess sitting on top of my hair. After the shampoo, I was able to start detangling a bit, which is usually not something I would attempt. Following the shampoo, I applied a very generous amount of conditioner and let it sit while I showered. Then, as I rinsed out the conditioner, I finger detangled. The conditioner really aided in the detangling process, as a conditioner should. It didn’t have as much slip as some other conditioners I’ve tried, but it gave me plenty of moisture which allowed me to more easily finger detangle.
Hydrating Leave-in conditioner
I’m not really a leave-in type of girl. I find if I have a really good shampoo and conditioner, the leave-in doesn’t add too much value for me. The Dope Hair leave-in did add moisture to my hair as the other products in this line, but the shampoo and conditioner did such a great job that I don’t know how much added moisture I really got from the leave-in.
Dope Shine Hair Oil
This hair oil is the truth. It’s the first hair oil I’ve found that actually imparts the moisture from the oil in my hair. Other hair oils just sit on top of my hair which is why I rarely use them. I don’t know how Dope Hair does it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I used the hair oil for my next day curls to add some moisture and shine without having to re-wet my hair. Disclaimer for my curly girls: Apply this hair oil sparingly. If you put too much, it will weigh down your curls.
I love a good edge cream and this Dope Hair edge cream is everything. I like my edges laid, but I don’t want to look like I have a greasy mess pasted around my hairline. Dope Hair edge cream has great hold without the weird, greasy look. The cream is slightly thick so apply a little first, then add as needed. I also apply it on the hair along my part to keep my part neat. This product is now a staple in my daily hair routine.
Dope Hair products will definitely be in regular rotation as part of my hair regimen. I have yet to find another product that infuses the moisture in my hair so well. My favorites from the line are the argan oil shampoo and conditioner, Dope Shine hair oil, and Dope Edges cream. Dope Hair also offers a scalp and beard oil which sounds really interesting. I haven’t tried it yet (for my scalp, not my beard?), but am looking forward to it. Hubby is interested to try it on his beard. I’ll let you know how it goes…
